From that time to 2009, he was with the Brin & Brin, P.C. law firm and was Co-Managing Partner until his departure. From 2009 to 2025, he was a Founder and Shareholder with Gonzalez Chiscano Angulo & Kasson, P.C. and in 2026 he started with Angulo Kasson & Aduddell, PLLC. Throughout his career, Richard has focused primarily on medical malpractice litigation wherein he has defended physicians and other healthcare providers throughout South Central and South Texas. He also focuses on dram shop, premises liability and other insurance defense matters and general civil litigation. He handles cases throughout the State of Texas, and he is also admitted to the federal courts of the Western, Northern and Southern District federal courts. He is a member of the San Antonio Bar Association and American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).
